Dave was filled with spirit and life. His caring, sincerity, and ability to look at the positive side of things carried many people through trying times. Those who were fortunate enough to know Dave were blessed with a life long gift he unknowingly gave. Remember his generosity of whatever he could do to help. It will help many in all our years to come.

Dave was a great friend, and a great man. We met in college at Central Washington University and maintained a close friendship for many years. Although after I moved to Arizona from Washington in 1995 we lost touch, I never lost my fondness for him.
Last year I became a father for the first time, and just last night my wife and I got into a discussion about the friends I don’t see much anymore, but love dearly, and I was telling her about Dave. I was thinking how much I’d like my baby daughter to grow up knowing her “Uncle Dave”, so today I went online and Google’d “Wendell David Beard” to see if I could track him down and reestablish our friendship. I was shocked and profoundly saddened to read this obituary.
I wish I had known he was so ill. I wish my wife and baby girl could have known him. Dave was a charismatic guy. Great sense of humor... witty and good-naturedly sarcastic. Thoughtful, kind, hard working, generous... every complimentary adjective you could think of would have applied to Dave.
Rest in peace, Dave. You will be remembered and spoken-of fondly by all who were blessed enough to know you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
I’m proud to have known you.
Your friend.

We didn't know David for long but what we knew was his zest for life. He lived as fully as he could given the rough prognosis. He made us laugh and he made us smile, and THAT speaks volumes about his character. His presence around Evergreen was missed. Go in peace David.......
