Obituary of Laura Anna Batchelder

Laura Anna (Pope) Batchelder Laura Batchelder, 93, passed away April 29, 2011, in Olympia, Washington. She was born July 30, 1917, in Olympia, WA, to Milo A. and Rena (Morrison) Pope. Laura graduated from Olympia High School in 1935, attended Western State College, worked for 16 years as a legal secretary in Olympia and later as a secretary for a builder in California. She married Frank W. Batchelder in 1955. They lived for a time in Fullerton, CA, before retirement in Olympia. Together they enjoyed traveling and gardening. She also enjoyed sewing and had a lifelong love of reading. Laura is survived by a nephew, a great nephew, and two great nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, and sister, Lorena.
