Alice Christina Bartlett Alice Christina (Seifert) Bartlett passed away peacefully on March 13, 2011. Alice was born on March 30, 1920, in Toledo, Washington, to Leo and Lillian Seifert. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1937. Alice met the love of her life, Ted E. Bartlett, when his family moved next door to her family farm on Cowlitz Prairie. They eloped on December 24, 1938, and were married for 67 wonderful years until his passing in 2006. After high school graduation, Alice worked at the Lewis County Extension Office for several years. Alice and Ted purchased a dairy farm in Rochester, Washington, which they ran together for 16 years while they raised their children. They sold the farm and moved to Gig Harbor, Washington, where she worked as a secretary at the Purdy Correctional Facility until her retirement. After retirement, they enjoyed summers at their home in Lacey, Washington, and winters living in Yuma, Arizona. Throughout their life, they traveled to the Philippines, Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, and throughout the United States. Alice was an avid sports fan, and particularly enjoyed playing shuffleboard. She was an active member of the Olympia-Lacey Church of God. She was also a member of Eastern Star. Alice cherished her family and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her two sons, Gary (Pat), of Yuma, Arizona, and Don (Marj), of Olympia; four grandchildren, Brett (Heather), Brook Lawson (Ryan), all of Olympia, Chad (Kristi) Colfax, WI, and Wade (Kristin), Spring Hill, TN; and nine great-grandchildren.
