Obituary of Rose Ayers

Rose Ayers Rose Ayers, 88 years old, passed away December 31, 2010, at Providence Hospital Centralia, WA. She is a long-time resident of Rochester, Wasington. Rose was born in Richfield, Utah, on January 28, 1922, one of eight children to George and Mary Emett. She married Gilmer Ayers in 1941. She will be known for the love and compassion she showed to others and for the beauty she brought to the world. A prolific painter and knitter, her talents extended to baking, including her pies and Christmas candies, a family favorite. She is survived by three sons, Howard (Verna) Ayers, Jim (Jennifer) Ayers and Jerry (Lori) Ayers, all of Rochester, WA; five daughters, Jean Blake and Paulette (Bill) Smith of Tacoma, WA, Suzy (Dale) Hickey of Brawley, CA, and Sylvia (Dwight) James and Annette (Joe) Parbon of Rochester, WA; two sisters, Myrtle Martin of Las Vegas, NV, and Emma Jane Neilson of Richfield, UT. She has 26 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great, great grandchildren. Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Gilmer, and son, Donald Ayers, as well as five brothers and sisters.
