Obituary of Earnestine Anderson

Earnestine Eleanor Anderson Earnestine Anderson, 92, passed away September 19, 2008 at Park Rose Care Center, Tacoma. She was born January 15, 1916 to Jeff and Ella Mae (Broughton) Perkins in Altmore, Alabama. She graduated from high school in Pensacola, Florida and attended Alabama State College in Montgomery, Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree. She worked as an elementary school teacher in Birmingham, Alabama. She married Booker T. Tait in 1941, and later divorced him. Earnestine moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1940 and lived there for over 60 years, until 2003. She worked as a factory worker in an automobile factory, and married Herman Anderson. She is survived by Ernest T. Tait, Sr. and his wife Janet Roller, two grandchildren, Ernest T. Tait, Jr. and Tiffany Jade Matthews and two great-grandchildren, Malakai Maurice Matthews and Orion Monroe Matthews, and sister Irma Billingsley and her husband Thomas. She was predeceased by her parents and six aunts. Earnestine was a highly positive person who rarely complained, except when 'Arthur' came to visit her... Arthur as in 'arthur-itis'. She enjoyed fishing, reading, people watching and her grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, sister and grandmother.
