Obituary of Carol M. Anderson

Carol M. (McGwin) Anderson passed away December 15, 2009. She was born to Charles and Hazel (Miller) McGwin in CleElum, Washington, February 17, 1944 and was raised in the Tenino-Yelm, Washington area. Carol made her living working in the field of Certified Nutrician Analysis as a dietary cook at Centralia General Hospital and also at multiple nursing facilities in the states of Washington, Oregon, Iowa and Nebraska.Carol enjoyed the Seattle Mariners, spending time at casinos and enjoyed all types of music but especially listening to “heavy metal” music. One of her fondest memories was the time she got to personally meet Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley, longtime members of her favorite heavy metal band “KISS”. She often bragged that she personally patted Gene Simmons on the “butt”. Carol was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Aloha, Oregon and also a member of the Centralia Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary #512. Surviving Carol are her children Jack and JoAnna Anderson of Centralia, WA, Vickie Anderson, Jeremy Pittmanof Everett, WA, and Susan “Missy” and Scott Schuster of Tumwater, WA. Surviving siblings include Chuck and Kay Hoke of Beaverton, OR, Tom and Faye Hoye of Yelm, WA, Judy and Paul Vonknoblauch of Sacramento, CA and Karen Anderson of Tumwater, WA. Carol was extremely thrilled to have a Grandchild - Christopher “Bear” Anderson of Everett. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
