Obituary of John E. Alder

John Ernest “Dyno” Alder, 57, a resident of Tenino for the last 30 years, died at his home on Friday, July 14, 2006. He was born in Seattle on December 4, 1948 to Orville John and Marie Evelyn (Grierson) Alder. He had lived in Bend, Oregon and graduated from High School there. John had been a carpenter for 22 years. On July 16, 1994 he married Susan Kay Madaris at their home in Tenino. He enjoyed auto racing at South Sound Speedway, doing wood crafts, hunting, fishing, and family barbeques. He also was a NASCAR fan. John was a lifetime member of the Eagles #4144 in Yelm and a member of the Sons of the American Legion. In addition to his wife, Susan of the family home, John is survived by his 5 sons, Miko Cole and Lopaka Cole both of Olympia, Eddie Alder and Johnny Alder both of California and Colby Bradshaw of Chehalis; 4 daughters, Dawn Marie Alder of California, Donna Apling and Bobbi Madaris both of Rainier and Amanda Jenney of Spanaway, WA; brothers, Don Craft Alder of Issaquah, WA, Norman Alder of Liberty Lake, WA, Sean Alder and Ian Alder both of Tenino and Alan Ramsey of Washington; a sister, Debbie Coleman of Oklahoma City, OK; 7 grandchildren; his mother, Marie Evelyn Grierson and stepmother, Teddie Prince. He was preceded in death by his father. A potluck and open house will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2006 at The Eagles Lodge #4144 in Yelm.
