Obituary of Billy Wayne Willis

CW4 Billy Wayne Willis passed away January 30, 2016 in Lacey, Washington. He was born December 12, 1940 to William and Elise Willis in Colmar, Kentucky, where he graduated high school. He later went on to earn diesel mechanic certification from SPSCC. Billy was in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1981, serving during the Vietnam War and earning such honors as a Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. He extended his 21-year service an additional 20 years as a diesel mechanic at Fort Lewis Logistic Center, JBLM, Washington from 1983 to 2003. Billy married Lenore D. Falaschi on January 4, 1965 in Bamburg, Germany. He loved cars, drag racing, motorcycles, Lionel trains, and skeet shooting, and was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Lacey. He is survived by his wife, Lenore Willis of Lacey; son, Mark Willis and wife Melanie of Kennewick, WA; one grandchild; and sister, Marilyn Bialy. He was predeceased by a son, Billy Joe Willis; his parents; grandparents, John F. Davis and Rosie B. Lorne; and sister, Annette Monhollen.
