Carl, Carly, and I are so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful picture and synopsis of Les’s life. And what a beautiful testimony of his life as well; that he was so loved by his family and friends. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. With much love and sympathy, Jan

Donna and family,
So sorry to hear about Lester’s passing. I have many good memories from my childhood from what we call “Whittaker Land”; the Whittaker family played a major role in our lives. As a believer in Christ, Lester is in heaven with his Lord and Savior. Donna and family, you are all in my prayers.
God Bless and take care,
Jack and Pat Eslick Ramsdell

So many emotions ran through me when I saw this photo of Lester. I stepped back in time and remembered all the good times I experienced in ‘Whittaker Land’ . (this is my description of this little part of Hawks Prairie Road all these years to my husband Bryan and to our kids). I only wish I had taken more time in the past to not just drive by but to stop in. Prayers for Donna and all the family, immediate and extended. Our love and thoughts go out to you. Linda (Eslick) Taylor

I was so sorry to hear that Les passed away. My deepest sympathies to all who loved this wonderful man. I have worked at Denny’s for almost 30 years, Les was a faithful customer during that time. We had many conversations & I looked forward to him sitting at the counter when I arrived at work each morning. If he wasn’t there, we would worry. He will truly be missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time of grief. Though I wasn’t nearly as close to my Whittaker side of the family as I should have been in the last few years, I have nothing but wonderful childhood memories of Uncle Lester. I hope you find even the smallest comfort in knowing he is with the Lord.

This picture instantly brought upon tears. I have seen others over the past several days, but this one got to me. A picture like this allows me to grieve. It brings love and emotions to the raw surface of my grief. To see a man, my Uncle, in his prime – at the peak of health with that sparkle in his eye. The one that told you he was up to something or just had a thought of something funny. His sense of humor was endless and much appreciated. My Uncle Lester, I remember to be a funny, smart, quiet and witty with a streak of mischief. Life is getting really hard… we are at an age when we are saying goodbye to our loved ones and it sucks. Less than a year ago I had to say goodbye to my Father. The brother of Lester’s wife Donna. Know that I keep you all in my heart <3 Donna, Sandy, Lynn and Kathy and to all of your husbands and children. See you Monday. Love Sarah

Kathy, I was saddened to hear of your father’s passing. You all gave so much of yourselves to tend to his needs and make sure he was comfortable. I hope that you find your own peace and comfort as you reflect on the memories you share as a family. Hold each other as you grieve and take time to heal. I am sending many thoughts and prayers to you and your family during this difficult time.
