Obituary of Edward Lee Wells

Ed passed away July 28, 2014 in Olympia, Washington, at the age of 68. He was born January 19, 1946 to Ralph Edward and Lucille Marie Wells in Richwood, West Virginia. Ed served in the U.S. Air Force in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Professionally, he was a firefighter at Ft. Lewis, a job to which he was extremely dedicated and of which he was proud. Ed loved war movies, John Wayne, Elvis, watching the news, complaining about politicians and the government, feeding the goldfish in his pond, and shooting raccoons. Most of all, he loved talking about and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved proudly showing off his truck. One of his favorite sayings was, “Keep your greasy mitts off my stuff!” Ed is survived by his sons, Wes Wells and Edgar Wells; daughter, Tonya Freemantle; and three grandchildren. His parents predeceased him. Ed will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Memorial donations are suggested to your local Vietnam Vets association.
