I shall always fondly remember Ken and his brother, Kevin, and sisters, Karen and Kathy, Aunt Joan, and Uncle Ken and all of our “cousin visits” at Thanksgiving and Christmas when the Uznanskis lived in Joliet and we lived in South Bend. It is too bad that we drifted apart after we all graduated from high school and from college and went our separate ways. Those were good days. Mom kept me posted about things with her nieces and nephews from time to time before she passed away two years ago.
All of the things I have read online about Ken and his career at WSDOT are so wonderful and positive. I am sorry to hear that he passed away two weeks ago. I shall continue to pray for Ken and his family and all of the Uznanskis now and forever. May the peace of the Lord be with Laurel, Matt, Peyton, Aunt Joan, Kathy, Karen, and Kevin at this difficult time. May Ken, Jr. and Ken, Sr. rest in the peace of the Lord in heaven now and forever.

Dear Laurel, Matt and Peyton: I was so sorry to hear about Ken’s passing. I always enjoyed our baseball chats and complaining about how the coaches weren’t treating our sons right. He was a great guy and will be missed. Doug

I remember Ken from our days at the Hill. He was a good guy. He was well-liked. We had a number of classes together throughout our four years at JCHS. I was very sorry to hear and read of his passing. May God grant Ken eternal rest and give you peace in your hearts! JCHS ’79.

We are heartbroken to learn of Ken’s passing. He was a very kind and gracious man and will be very much missed in the neighborhood. We admire the strength and courage of your family in these past few years. Though we knew of the severity of Ken’s health problems, we always held out hope that it would turn around. We are deeply saddened and shocked that it was not to be. Please call on us for help in any way.

We were sad to see Kens death in the paper today. We both thought highly of him and saw each other often when Matthew and Peyton played baseball for Capitol Little League with our boys Daytona and Dustyn. We haven’t seen Ken in a couple years so did not know of his health issues. Much love and prayers to Laurel, Matthew and Peyton…he adored you all so.Good bye Ken…til we meet again.
