Arlene May Talley passed away of natural causes on December 12, 2013 in Rochester, Washington, at the age of 72. She was born June 9, 1941 to Clarence and Dorothy Williams in Los Angeles, California. A Southern California native, she lived in Downey, for many years before moving to Olympia 12 years ago. Arlene worked as a crew leader for almost 30 years at Owens Illinois Glass in Los Angeles where she was known for her friendly smile and strong work ethic. During her years at OI, she made many lifelong friends that she cherished. Arlene was a genuinely fun spirited lady who brought joy to those around her. She truly enjoyed making people smile with her silly songs and dances. She adored her cat, Cali, who she swore knew exactly what she said and answered back. Her favorite place was Hawaii and it was a real highlight of her life when she went with her sister, Hazel. She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done, playing slots at the casino, watching her “detective shows,” visiting with her family in California, and playing with her grandchildren. She is survived by her three children and four grandchildren of which she was so proud and loved dearly. Her son, Charles Talley, and youngest daughter, Tami Chromey, live in Washington State, and her eldest daughter, Donna McGillvery, lives in Oregon. Arlene is also remembered by her brothers, Lee Williams of Utah, and Richard Williams of Riverside, California; and sister, Hazel Harris of Riverside.
