I am so sorry to hear of Kim’s passing. She was a special, special lady. I came to know Kim when her son, Charlie, was a student in my third grade classroom. Kim was a very involved parent who enjoyed volunteering with many students in our class. She was caring and so full of energy and passionate about her family! Kim is responsible for many flowering plants that revisit my yard every year. She will be missed.

What a loss. We saw her seldom in recent years but thought of her often. We did not know she was ill. We were planning on a calling for a lunch date soon. She was a wonderful person full of life. she was one of those rare persons who never had bad things to say about anyone even those who deserved it. When we lived across the street from her she was such fun to visit with. Our grandkids and Chucky played together.

I will miss Kim dearly. The whole that was created by her passing can never be filled. The extended time and special moments that my children spent with their “Gammy” are memories that will never be forgotten. I’m sorry you had to leave so soon.
I found this poem that I would like to share:
A beautiful angel is all that is here
Saying O’Lord please leave me here
Not ready to leave but has to go
Wants to go back but God says no
A husband and children
Grandchildren and friends
A meaningful life that suddenly ends
And angel is what she was meant to be
Now think of all that she can see
Watching over her family night and day
Saying I love you in her own special way
In the night we sleep and in the day we cry
While she watches us all from her star in the sky
Love, Charlene, Kenneth, Jeanee, Kobee and Koree.

My Dearest Friend Kim, There are no adequate words to say how much our friendship meant to me and how much I miss you already. I am so thankful we had our conversation expressing how we felt about our friendship and each other. You were such a beautiful person, inside and out. You were the most thoughtful, compassionate, loving, devoted and giving person I have ever known. You always put others needs before your own. I will always treasure our friendship and will hold cherished memories of you close, in a very special place in my heart! I love and miss you so much, BFF! You have touched the hearts of so many and we were all blessed to have you in our lives. My deepest sympathy is sent to all of your family and friends, that as time goes by their cherished memories of you will help ease their sorrow and keep you close to them. I love you! BEST FRIENDS FOREVER! Marcia Hofer

When Kim’s Dad and I got married over 33 yrs. ago, it didn’t take long before she found her way into my heart. Kim’s mom had died the year before and she was only about . old and still needing a mom in her life. My sons were all living in California and one evening I expressed how much I missed them and she said to me “you can be MY mommy”and that began a very dear an loving relationship. Her and Charlie nearly always went camping with us til he left for college. When I had back surgery, she came and dug up all the weeds in my flowerbeds, filling 10 wheelbarrow loads full! Another time I’d had surgery again and she came and helped finish wallpapering our bathroom because she was afraid I would hurt myself. She was my favorite partner to go to garden centers with. We shared a strong bond in our love for growing and sharing our flowers. I will truly miss her a lot but I know I will see her again in the paradise earth we both looked forward to.
