Obituary of Judith Ann Schultz

Judith Ann Schultz, 72, passed away due to cancer on August 30, 2014 in Olympia, Washington. She was born January 27, 1942 to Arthur Ray Lichau and Gretchen Marie Stonitsch in Petaluma, Sonoma, California. A 39-year resident of Rainier, Washington, she also lived in Kennewick, Washington (1968-1974). Judith graduated from Petaluma High School in 1959, attended San Jose City College (1959-1961), and earned a BA in Education from Chico State University in 1963, all California schools. She taught in the Rio Linda School District in Sacramento, California, and Rainier School District, in Rainier, Washington. She married Ronald L. Schultz on August 3, 1963 in Petaluma. Judith always had a smile on her face and her laugh was infectious. She loved sewing, doing genealogy, and reading. She was a member of The United Churches of Olympia, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Alpha Delta Kappa (Education) Sorority; she held various offices in both sororities. She is survived by her husband, Ronald L. Schultz of Rainier; sons, Eric H. Schultz of Seattle, Washington, and Matt A. Schultz of Milwaukie, Oregon; two grandchildren; mother, Gretchen; and brother, Gary Ray Lichau of San Jose, California. She was predeceased by her father, Arthur; grandparents, Ada Josie Andresen, Mathis Stonitsch, Della Esler, Edward Peter Lichau; and sister, Randee Jo Sparrer.
