Obituary of Jack W. Olson

Jack passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2:30 a.m. while at home with his family at his bedside. At 86, he had experienced a long and happy life. Jack is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jytte; his daughters, Marianne and Annette; and grandson, Nathan. Jack’s engineering profession gave him the opportunity to see the world, from Europe to the Far East, where he met many people who became good friends. He worked as an electronic engineer for Philco Co. for 10 years and as a civil service engineer for the U.S. Department of Defense/U.S. Army, from which he retired after more than 30 years. Jack was a true American who believed in honesty and hard work.
