Obituary of Edward Joseph North

Ted, age 42, passed away January 12, 2014 in Everett, Washington. He was born May 12, 1971 to Elli E. and Edward Joseph North, Jr. at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He spent his life moving around the world as a military dependent with his family before settling down in Washington State. Ted graduated from Yelm High School in Yelm, Washington. He served in the United States Marine Corps (RECON) 1990 – 1994 and was involved in Operation Desert Storm. After an honorable discharge, he attended Texas State Technical College, receiving a degree as a licensed airframe and power plant mechanic. After graduation, he pursued his lifelong love of aircrafts. He worked a combined time of nine years, serving as an Aviation Maintenance Technician at Paine Field Airport in Everett, and most recently at The Boeing Company in Everett where he worked on the 747-8 project. He was extremely proud of his contributions to this project. Ted was THE 12th man! He loved the Seattle Seahawks, and always made it a point to remind his family of game times. He most certainly would have been proud of his team going to the Super Bowl. In addition to sports, he loved music, and became quite the musician with his Gibson guitar. He had the ability to make his guitar sing like no other. When looking into Ted’s deep blue eyes, you could see a genuine and loving tenderness that just touched your heart. He was loved by whomever his life touched. He will be greatly missed by his surviving mother, Elli North; brother, Ernst North of Darrington, Washington; sisters, Connie McBee of Federal Way, Washington, Patricia Rush of Oregon, and Linda Bartlett of Yelm; extended family, and friends. We all miss you, Ted. Semper Fi and Go Hawks! Please leave memories of Ted or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
