Obituary of Ann Marie Mueller

Ann Marie Mueller passed away at home on January 8, 2016 in Olympia, Washington. She was born October 26, 1941 to Aileen and Claude Zaring in Longview, Washington. She graduated from Willapa Valley High School in 1959, and attended Centralia College where she met Ron that winter after she hit him with a snow ball. Ann married Ron on July 4, 1961 and they settled in Olympia. They lived in the same home for most of their married life and loved doing home and garden projects. They had a love for travel and went on several cruises and always in search of a lighthouse. Ron preceded her in death in 2014 after 52 years of marriage. In addition to raising their three children, Ann also worked at Firesafe, Elaine’s Hallmark and Boston Elementary School where she retired June, 2011. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Olympia JCs, Olympia Para Educators and Washington Educators Association. Ann loved cooking and enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She also loved camping, the beach, reading, walking, and watching every sporting event, especially the Seahawks, Mariners and Cougars. Ann is survived by her children: son, Marc (Barb) Mueller; daughters, Janna (Howard) Cox and Tania (Steve Reddaway) Mueller; grandson, Nickolaus Cox (Dan Colgan); sister-in-law, Nancy (David) McMonigle; her cats, Abbi and Bella; and several close cousins.
