I’ll always remember how welcoming and warm my “West Coast” mom was to me on my trips to WA. She thought of everything, even down to remembering putting the very full goosedown comforter on the guest room bed.

Gayle is/was the kind of friend you could never forget. A very special lady that shined “I Love Jesus” in everything she did. Neil and Gayle had the kind of marriage and love that is very very special. I wish I had spent more time with her in the last few years it is to bad life gets so busy we don’t spend the time we would like with people we love. My prayers and love go out to Neil and their girls– it is hard to be without her on this earth. You have such beautiful and happy memories of your life together and you will always have them in your heart. May God give you comfort knowing that He has his arms around her.

Mary Gayle wasn’t just our counselor, she was our friend. She quickly won our hearts and we looked forward to meeting with her. She was sensitive, encouraging, and absolutely in love with Jesus. My heart is very sad over her passing, but also extremely thankful we had a year together. My prayers are with your family. God’s blessings of peace, joy & hope be yours.

Gayle has been on my mind for such a long time. I adored the time I spent with her and thoroughly enjoyed our talks. She always had a beautiful smile on her face, and kind words to say. The laughter we shared is something I will always remember about her! To Neil and girls – I am so sorry for your loss. Peace to all of you – Shari

I will surely miss Gayle. She was one of my Mom’s very best friends from her school days and onward and was a friend to me as well. Her passion for life, real interest in others, love for her God and her family have endeared her to me and to my family forever. It touches my heart so deeply that she called out to Jesus at the end of her earthly life and it makes heaven that much sweeter knowing that one day I will see her there.

Gayle was so many things that one word could never describe her so I will start with a small list. She was kind, generous, compassionate, loving, loyal, joyful, colorful, funny, genuine, smart, and so much more. She will be missed but for us never ever forgotten. We love you Gayle and we will forever miss the time we had together.

Neil, thank you for sharing your wonderful wife with me whenever you were in Salem. May the peace of Jesus that passes understanding be in your hearts.

We enjoyed our time of being neighbors at Fort Campbell. Gayle made the most delicious cinnamon rolls and shared them with us often. We also remember Chandra being just a pretty little girl…blonde hair and pretty. If it is appropriate and if our health holds up…we will see you in Salem. Our thoughts and prayers for comforting. Joyful, merry, gleeful, happy, sweet .. . adjectives that were created with Gayle in mind. Our loss is heaven’s gain and it shines a little brighter with her in residence. So grateful that there are no tears in heaven; Gayle just wouldn’t allow it.
Our hearts, prayers and love surround Neil, Chandra, Kari and Jennie during this time of grief and loss. And very special hugs for all of her grandchildren who will surely miss this angel of a grandma.

I consider it a great honor to have had Gayle as a classmate and friend. I always admired her sweet, upbeat , happy spirit and she always had a smile for everyone. The world is a much dimmer place without her beautiful smile, but we know she is smiling even more now. Rest in peace dear friend, until we meet again!

I worked for Doris and she was always so excited when you were coming to visit and after you left she always got really excited when she found the dollars that Gayle hid.She told me the story about one of you girls calling the little cabins at J and 72 junction the three little pigs houses now I recall that every time I go by there. Rest in peace Gayle you were well loved here and all the more where you are now

It has been one week almost to the minute and as I sit here in tears, I looked up at our ceiling and God created a rainbow from the reflection off my laptop. His timing will help me thru, his strength will help me deal with your loss, knowing you are in heaven is the only bearable part of my grief and loss. Fifty years was not long enough, I look forward to eternity with you. I MISS YOU SO MUCH!!
