Condolences on the loss of Bill. I would have enjoyed talking withhim during his lifetime, and with family members at the memorial service. I am friends with Deb Laughery; he called me, but I was unable to find the right address in Lacey in time. My father was in the Army Air Corps and we were stationed at Hickam Field on Dec 7 1941, when I was 10 years old. I remember very clearly the Japanese attack. If any family members would care to hear my account, please do email me, lazyj76@q.com.

Bill was a neighbor of my parents in Lacey for many years. I know they enjoyed his company and after the passing of my father several years ago my mom enjoyed coffee with Bill on many mornings as they shared stories and memories of the past. Bill was always outgoing and upbeat and we all truly appreciated his friendship. Our condolences on his passing.

We got the pleasure of knowing Bill as he lived across the street from my parents in Mt. Greens. He was such a great fun-loving guy & was such a help and good friend to my mom after my father died. We always looked forward to seeing Bill when we would visit and had a lot of good laughs over the years. He has always had a special place in our hearts, and as much as we will miss him, we will also never forget him. He was a wonderful man and we feel lucky to have had his friendship for as many years as we did. Our deepest sympathy to his family – he thought so much of all of you.

Dottie & I were fortunate enough to be Bill’s neighbors for 16 years before he moved into Woodland’s. He was probably one of the best neighbors we have ever had the pleasure to live next too. He was always friendly and a pleasure to talk too. He had some interesting stories to tell. We will miss him dearly as will all of his friends here an Mt. Greens.
