Obituary of Kenneth Dale McCoy

Ken, age 76, died of cancer October 2, 2013 in Doty, Washington. He was born December 17, 1936 in Dryad, Washington, to Orrie and Toots (Conn) McCoy. While he lived most of his life in Doty, he also spent time in the logging industry in Alaska, Oregon and California. Ken completed his GED while serving in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1957; he was stationed in Germany. He married Evelyn Edwards on September 28, 1957; after nearly 53 years of marriage, she passed July 23, 2010. Professionally, Ken was a truck driver for Weyerhaeuser for 40 years, retiring in 1999. He also was an electrician for many years. He loved hunting and reading. Ken is survived by his son, Scott Alan McCoy of Doty; daughter, Darla Rae (Randy) Driver of Dryad; daughter-in-law, Carol McCoy of Meskill; grandchildren, Jimmy (Angela) McCoy, Kimberly McCoy, Rachel Russell, Bridget (Gus) Howard, Brittany (Richie) Hoffman, Marion McCoy, Tracey McCoy, and Jesse McCoy; ten great grandchildren; and sisters, Gay Smith (Gary Ross) of Raymond, Washington, and Ellen (Ben) Kiser of PeEll, Washington.
