Obituary of Patricia Ann Marien

Patricia Ann “Pat” Marien, 77, passed away of cancer on August 16, 2014 in Olympia, Washington. She was born December 29, 1936 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Pat loved camping, hunting and fishing; she could out fish anyone who dared to go fishing with her. She enjoyed canning homemade jelly, pickles and tuna, which her grandchildren loved to fight over. At Pleasant Forest Camping Club where she was an avid member for 34 years and retired PFCC park ranger, she was known for making the best bear stew. She also loved to sit for hours, playing cribbage with family and friends. Above all, she loved her family; they were her pride and joy. Pat is survived by her sons, Robert (Betty) Marien, and Arthur (Cathy) Marien; daughters, Rene (Jeff) Hock, Christine (Joe) Theiss, and Cindy (John) Lucha; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Kirby; and sister, Janice Rust. She was predeceased in 2005 by her husband of 49 years, Robert Marien. Please leave memories of Pat or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
