Lorena Lytle

Obituary of Lorena Kae Lytle

Lorena Kae Lytle, 63, passed away on Wednesday February 5, 2014 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia from complications due to her cancer. Born Lorena Kae Osborne, her friends and family called her Kae or KaeOz. She was born to Charles and Lorena “Dick” Osborne and raised in Mossyrock, Washington, with brothers Warren and Dean, and sister Cathy. Kae married in 1985, and had two daughters, Lorena, 27, and Michelle, 25. Kae worked for DSHS for 32 years where she hired over 1400 workers, and helped people on welfare. After she retired, she spent many years volunteering at her daughter’s school. She was involved in parent groups, teacher appreciation programs, and helped out with after school activities. Kae will forever be remembered for her generous and loving heart. She spent her days taking care of others, always going above and beyond to make others feel appreciated, loved and taken care of. She was known for her love of all things Disney, a love that she passed on to her daughters, and went on many road trips to Disneyland with her sister. She will also be remembered for her love of The Beatles; she had the amazing experience to attend two of their concerts. Kae enjoyed sewing and often made beautiful clothes for herself and family; much to the chagrin of her daughters, she enjoyed making them matching outfits. She also helped her mother create lovely quilts for family and friends. She is known for her beautiful cakes that she created for special occasions for her friends and family. Kae loved hosting parties; some of her happiest moments were spent playing games and spending time with family and friends. Kae spent her life loving her family and serving the Lord. She will live on in the hearts of all those she touched with her presence. She had a beautiful smile, laugh, and spirit. She was a wonderful mother, sister, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all those that hold her close to their hearts, and keep her alive in their memories. Please leave memories of Kae or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
