Obituary of Leroy L. Lyke

Leroy L. Lyke, age 75, passed away June 7, 2014 at his home in Olympia, Washington. He was born November 21, 1938 to Leroy and Faye Like in Knoxville, Tennessee. Leroy served in the U.S. Army, 39th Division at Fort Lewis, Washington. He married Carol Chase on April 18, 1981. Professionally, he was a foreman at Lacey Plywood. When the mill closed, he went to school to become a printer, and finished his career at Copy Wrights in Fife, Washington. Leroy was an avid hunter, and a member of the NRA and Capitol City Gun Club. He enjoyed exploring Capitol Forest every chance he had, and also was a Scout Master for Troop 333. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lyke; sons, Larry Lyke, Fred Chase, Terry Chase, Jeff Chase and Robert Chase; daughter, Larissa Lyke; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and sister, Peggy.
