Dear Terry….Something moved me to look up my old friend Craig and find this entry. I hope you remember me and my wife Terry from the old Schwabach days. We are crushed. I remember going to Disneylad with the kids in the early 80’s when Terry and I ived in California. I pickd up Craig from travis (his birth place!!) in my old Datsun 510…..it was a disaaster, with my car almost crapping out on the way.
I remember drinking whisky with ‘Lowe Blow”on the range at 3AM in Germany when the fog had set in and we couldn’t see the targets any more…….I remember sitting in a B17 bomber in Southern California with him…remember ‘the Scupper” (as I nicknamed Marc) really stinkiing up the car on the way to somewhere in western France with all of us…… I remember finding a German to fix the Puegeot 504 Diesel when y’all creamed it against a hillside in Germany…..Craig and I went to a junkyard and got parts to fix it to defray the cost.
I am sorry for ALL OF OUR loss: please give the kids our love…….Criag was a dear friend of mine and I figured we would all see each other again one day…..shoot, I guess we will.

Mrs. Lowe, I knew Craig through his work at LNI when he would be represent the Department at mediations. He was a wonderful person to deal with in a professional capacity, and even more, could bring joy and laughter to some otherwise some long hours. His sense of fairness and honesty were sorely missed when he was no longer in that capacity. I know other mediators felt the same: . My condolences to you and your family on your loss.

I learned today of the tragic passing of Craig. I only knew him through our respective jobs, but I grew to respect Craig and enjoyed working with him. He was a consummate professional and gentleman who always strove to do what was right and just. We shared an interest in baseball, and I can’t help but smile when I think how pleased Craig would be in knowing his beloved Cardinals will be going to the playoffs again. Craig will be missed, but we are all better to have known him.

Terry,
I was very saddened to hear that Craig had passed away. My memories of him (and you) date back almost thirty years. But I can say that he was unique and memorable, and larger than life, and an excellent lawyer and a person with a real sense of justice. I look back at my Army days and he is one of the few guys who I recall. We used to sit around for hours and well just talk. I was a single guy then and he always spoke fondly of you and his you son. I recall him telling me how he was attempting to discipline your son and the young lad said “But Father I have a defense.”
I am so sorry Terry. My prayers are with you.
