Betty, 92, passed away on May 24, 2014, at her Olympia, Washington home. She was born on December 11, 1921 to Charles P. and Zetta (Miller) Foreman in Buckley, Washington. She lived most of her life in the Tacoma, Washington area, graduating from Stadium High School in 1939. She attended the University of Washington and, in September 1943, Betty married the love of her life, Charles Longstreth. Together, they raised three daughters. She loved to sew, and worked as a retail buyer for Hancock Fabrics. She volunteered for the WSU-Extension “Homemakers” group, and served as president for several years. Boating was a favorite past time for Chuck and Betty, and she loved going out on Puget Sound with family and friends. Betty is survived by her daughters, Susan, Debra, and Gayle (Al); and grandsons, Jason, Sam, Nicholas and Daniel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years and her parents.
