Obituary of Remigio P. Ledesma

Remigio P. “Bud” Ledesma was born on August 5, 1933 in Hoquiam, Washington. He passed away peacefully on November 19, 2013 at St. Peter Hospital surrounded by his family. Bud graduated from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen, Washington in 1951. He married Diane Esterbrook on August 14, 1954. Bud worked for Weyerhaeuser for several years. He raced motorcycles during the 1960s in Western Washington until a motorcycle injury forced him to pursue another career. Bud moved his family to Olympia in 1970 and began a career in state government. He worked for the state of Washington for 28 years and retired from DSHS in 1998. Bud and Diane enjoyed many years of boating in the Pacific Northwest. Bud always had a story to share and enjoyed conversing with anyone about anything. Bud loved his family unconditionally and fully. His wife, Diane, passed away in 2008. He is survived by his four sons, Randy, Robert, Robbin, and Roger; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Bud will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
