Obituary of Hilmar H. Kuebel

Hilmar H. Kuebel, Jr. Hilmar H. Kuebel, Jr., age 78, passed away June 24, 2013 in Olympia, Washington, after a major stroke. He was born July 29, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas to Hilmar H. Kuebel, Sr. and Laura Olga Schlieper Kuebel. Hilmar served in the U.S. Air Force, and earned a BA and MBA from the University of Texas. He was a retired college administrator. Hilmar loved the Lord and his family, and enjoyed golfing, shooting, and chocolate chip cookies. He was a volunteer mediator for the Dispute Resolution Center and mentor for Senior Council of Retired Executives. He is survived by his wife, Helen Kuebel; son, Arthur; daughter, Kathy; sister, Sandra Lee; four grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ann Dubose, who died of cancer. Memorial donations may be made to the Olympia Union Gospel Mission, Thurston County Dispute Resolution Center, CareNet of Olympia, or Lower Columbia College (Longview) Scholarship Fund.
