I worked with Joe at PSNS in the mid 80’s, and only today learned of his passing. Joe was always cracking jokes, always making people laugh, and always had a story to tell. I lost touch with Joe after he retired from the shipyard, but have never forgotten him.

I was so shocked to hear about Joey’s passing! We all kn ew we had not seen him for awhile, but also knew he was a very private person. I was so honored to know him. First, I really enjoyed his humor! Never did I visit with him that he didn’t have me laughing out loud! Second, he was my crossword dictionary. Whenever i was stuck, Joey always came through with the word and its use! Third was his conversations and support of President Clinton! I loved that! Finally was the razzing he took for his shorts, white legs, and then that golf hat with the fake hair! Loved the guy!!!!

Joe: I (we) will deeply miss you. You were always a joy to be around. For over 30 years I have known you, I never heard anything but good. Our many golfing trips will be remembered forever. You left us too soon. See you on the course someday. Don Duncan
