Susie H. Bennett …………….Prayers go out to family and friends. I have so many fond memories of Princess and her mom, Mrs. Evelyn Horton Jackson , whom I number among my dearest friends.
Gloria Ward Ravenell ……I was a choir member under the direction of Mrs. Jackson at East Suffolk High. Songs that she taught us are classic. She was a perfectionist and we excelled. I remember Princess as always a charming, graceful young lady.

I am so shocked all I can think about are the words from Romans 8:28.

Princess brought more joy into the lives of those who knew and loved her than anyone could ever imagine. No event or adventure shared with her was ordinary. Any pursuit, no matter how big or small, was one remembered with fondness. The enthusiasm with which she pursued and shared her life — in the arts, politics, writing, theater, music, literature, theology, gardening, good food and learning, made the lives of those around her so much richer.
Striving always for proper decorum, she studied and collected books on etiquette, enjoyed the art of letter writing, use of the proper stationary and fine writing instruments. Ask her to do something that no one else we knew had done, something over the top, something unheard of, she would reply affirmatively and with lively interest.
She had a spirit that could not easily be subdued. Even during her greatest trials she pursued life with interest and vigor and was an example of courage to others.
To say, “She will be missed”, is an understatement. She leaves behind a great chasm of emptiness in the hearts of those who were privileged to have been counted among her circle of friends. Thank you darling girl, for sharing your life with us.

Any person would be extremely fortunate to have met a gifted lady like Princess Jackson Smith once in their life time. I shared this privilege and honor daily for eight years with this delightful and refreshing lady! She never expressed a down day, always had a kind word and smile for every one she met. She always made it a priority to stop by my office each day with a smile and an expression of true friendship. She will be truly missed. Chuck
