Obituary of Richard B. Huber

Richard B. Huber, age 84, of Olympia, Washington, passed away on November 1, 2014. Rick graduated from the University of Washington with a major in International Trade, and was stationed in Anchorage, Alaska, while serving in the Korean War as a cryptologist. He met his wife, Jacqueline, 61 year ago and they raised their three children, Jeff Huber, Sandra (Huber) Wilson, and Kristin (Huber) Partain. Rick and Jackie loved and lived their lives until Jackie passed away in 2013. Rick’s passions, besides his wife and family, were boating, traveling, fishing, and playing cards. He was a member of the Olympia Yacht Club, co-owned P/H Associates, worked with Johnson and Lieber Co., Associated Grocers, and more. He had an arsenal of jokes he would share, would give the shirt off his back for family and friends, and for strangers he always had a handout. Rick’s grandchildren include Capt. Michelle Huber (husband, James), Jeremiah Huber (wife, Katrina), Charis Wilson, Quill, and Gavin Partain. Rick and Jackie are now together, laughing and dancing with all of their loved ones who have preceded them in death, and they will be there for all of us when it is our time to pass on.
