Lloyd G. Foster, 72, of Olympia, Washington, passed away on May 11, 2014 at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. He was born in Amarillo, Texas, on June 8, 1941 to parents, V. Ray and Stella (Furman) Foster. He is survived by his son, Rick G. Foster of Seattle, Washington; his ex-wife, Barbara (Foster) Bahr of Union, Washington; his mother, Stella Foster of Olympia; brother, Nelson (Linda) Foster of Franklin, Tennessee; nephew, Michael (Kelly) Foster of Greenville, Tennessee; great nephew, Landon Foster of Greenville; great niece, Ava Foster of Greenville; and sister-in-law, Kathy (Jackie) Marlin of Thompson Station, Tennessee. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, Dorthey Spurek of The Dallas, Oregon, Jack Furman of Happy Valley, Oregon, Oliver Furman of Ephrata, Washington, and Joe Totzen of Clackamas, Oregon; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father, V. Ray Foster; and his nephew, Robert “Rob” Foster. Lloyd had two family pets in his life, Kitty Foster, a smart and loving tuxedo cat that he cared for more than he ever would admit to, and Norman Foster, a miniature dachshund with a heart of gold and a strong love for his human dad. Lloyd worked for Washington State (Motor Pool Division) in Olympia for 30 years. He was an avid fisherman; it was one of his greatest joys in life, especially fishing Anderson Island, Lapush, Buoy 10 near Illwaco, Westport, Willapa Bay, and the Chehalis River. He was an excellent fisherman. Many years ago, he fished Anderson Island in January and caught nine salmon in a single day. This was such a thrill for him. He will be truly missed by all of his family and friends. Please leave memories of Lloyd or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
