Obituary of Nicolas Gene Flores

Nicolas Flores was born September 30, 1953 to Myrna and Adriano Flores in Aberdeen, Washington. He passed away June 19, 2014 in Seattle, Washington at the age of 60. Nick attended HoquiamHigh School in Washington (1969-1970), and OceansideHigh School in California (1970-1971). Nick served in the U.S. Marine Corps (1/27/1971 to 1/28/1975), serving as a tank crewman. He attained the rank of Sergeant by the time he was honorably discharged. Professionally, he was a mill worker at Weyerhaeuser for 20 years. Nick was a long time resident of Grays Harbor. He enjoyed football and talking antiques with his grandparents. A son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and nephew, Nick will be missed by many family and friends. He is survived by his daughter, Megan Sorenson; granddaughter, Hailey Sorenson; parents, Adriano and Myrna Flores; brother, Anthony Flores; sisters, Jennifer Parker, Kelly Andringa, Jacqueline Freiboth, and Brandi Flores; nephews, Jesse Williams and Michael Parker; and several nieces and another nephew. Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and Virginia Settle, and Charles and Sarah “Reenie” Yearka. Please leave memories of Nick or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
