Obituary of James Anthony Dziekonski

James Anthony Dziekonski James was born November 21, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois to James and Helen Buino Dziekonski. He passed peacefully at home with his loving family by his side on October 15, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his sons, Kevin of Maryland and Brian of Colorado; daughters, Sue Bausch of Maryland, and Marianne and Diane (Kevin) Kelly of Colorado; sisters, Jan Vera and Cecille Peters; stepchildren, John Horn, Jim (Wendy) Horn of Olympia, and Marta Pier of Pe Ell; grandchildren, Kayla and Grant Kelly of Colorado, Richard Cassou and Nicole Horn of Olympia, and Patty (AJ) Rogers of Alaska; one great granddaughter, Harmony of Alaska. Jim served in the U.S. Army and then had his own business as a counselor for many military projects in many countries. He was a very compassionate man with high standards and was respected by all. He was a member of the Elks, Odd Fellows, and SAVE International Value Engineering. He retired after completing his last projects in Hawaii and moved to Tumwater, Washington with his wife, Sharon. A special thanks to Dr. Duston Osborn and his staff for all the wonderful care he received during his struggle for life. Jim will be greatly missed by all, including his good friends in Hawaii.
