Obituary of Roger Fredrick Dieckmeier

Roger Fredrick Dieckmeier Roger was born on January 2, 1948 in Olympia, Washington, and passed away in Seattle on October 28, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Rita Dieckmeier. Roger was an outstanding high school scholar and athlete. During his freshman year in college, he suffered a brain hemorrhage during football practice. He remained in a coma for several months before awaking. As a result of the hemorrhage, Roger was partially paralyzed, a condition which he dealt with the remainder of his life. We wish to thank all those who cared for Roger over the past 47 years. We would especially like to thank Bob Bailey, who remained Roger’s good friend all these years. We would also like to thank Susan Kirchoff, Roger’s guardian, who lovingly cared for Roger right up to the moment of his passing. Roger was a kind, gentle and good man. He never complained, always was smiling and always asked God to bless you when you left after visiting him. He will be missed. Please leave memories of Roger or condolences for his family in the Guestbook below.
