Anna Denton

Obituary of Anna Lee Denton

Born November 12, 1951, to James Henry and Anna Denise Nadeau in Honolulu, Hawaii, Anna Lee Denton passed away one day shy of her 63rd birthday on November 11, 2014, in Olympia, Washington. With her father being in the Army, Anna lived in numerous countries and cities before the family settled in Washington State. She graduated from Tacoma’s Lincoln High School and attended South Puget Sound Community College and Clover Park Technical College. She married Samuel F. Denton at McKenzie Road Baptist Church on February 15, 1992. Professionally, she worked as a HUC on the 3rd floor at St. Peter Hospital in Olympia for more than 20 years. Anna was a loving, caring, big-hearted woman who loved to spend time with her family. She had a quick wit and a smart comeback in every situation. She also was proud and strong, and occasionally could be stubborn. She enjoyed making things for her grandkids, doing beadwork, helping at McKenzie Road Baptist Church with VBS and other activities. She also loved her Seattle Seahawks. Anna is survived by her sons, Sean Nelson, Ron S. Denton and Tom J. Denton; daughters, Jennifer Vassar and Samantha L. Melton; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, James Nadeau II; and sisters, Sarah Sloan and Evelyn Maxwell. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; and brother, David Nadeau. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by all those left behind. Please leave memories of Anna or condolences for her family in the Guestbook below.
