Ken was my district manager when I delivered the Tacoma News Tribune in the mid 70s. He would frequently stop by our “box” adjacent the Tom Boy Market at 45th and Pacific Avenue to say hello and ensure all was well. I remember him as being always upbeat and positive – a good mentor for us. We nicknamed him “The Chap Man.” Don’t ask me how we came up with that, I’ll attribute it to my brother Don who was also a paperboy for Ken.

I will always remember your beautiful signs at Fred Meyer, and you always made one for Nicholas, who was my daycare child. He looked forward to seeing you whenever we were at Fred Meyer. It has been good to see you and Sharon periodically in the past few years, though not often enough. My prayers are with you, Sharon, in your loss. I know God will carry you through this difficult time. Maybe we can get together for lunch sometime in the future when you are up to it. Just let me know.
Love,
Connie

Sharon, I was so sorry to read of Ken’s passing…and I didn’t know Roger had passed as well. It’s been so long since the Trib days, but may your many loving memories of Ken give you peace of mind. He was a sweetie…

It was such a joy to see you and Ken at church together at early service Sharon. What an amazing journey your 37 years for marriage must have been. It has been such a blessing to watch as the two of you spent time together these last few months. It was awesome to see the pictures of the smiles on your faces and the happy pups in the motor home. Ken is not resting with his everlasting Father and Prince of Peace. Rest well, Ken.

Ken was such a kind man…and he was a friend. We both were true Seattle sports fans…win or lose….we were no fair weathered fans. He loved animals and adopted many furry kids throughout the years…which makesnhim a hero Iin my eyes. Go Hawks!

I was fortunate enough to meet Ken a couple of times because I knew Sharon from our Bible Study group. I know that the love she had for him was huge, and I can certainly understand that by reading the synopsis of his life here. What a handsome, talented, caring and helpful man he was! I know he will be missed terribly by all who knew and loved him well, animals and people alike, and I am saddened that he had to leave, but that’s what we must do when Father calls us home! My heart sends love to Sharon and the family at this difficult time. May God bless you all with peace.

What a mighty God we serve, He knew that He would be taking Ken home to be with Him and He prepared his beloved wife with special times with him. So much more that He allowed for Ken to get done before He took him home to be with Him. Thank you Lord. You are amazing Lord.

I will truly miss Ken. We had a very special relationship. We loved talking about his wife behind her back (good things only)! He had an extremely pleasant personality and it was a joy to be in his presence even when he was very ill. I am thankful to God that I became friends with Sharon as it provided an opportunity for me to get to know her best friend. Thank you Ken for all of the beautiful things you shared with me. Thank you Ken for my birthday present which represents our relationship as sister and brother in Christ because of the cross of Calvary. I have worn it proudly since I received it and will always think of you whenever I see it hanging in my jewelry box or placed around my neck.
