Obituary of Glen Eldean Carson

Glen, 79, passed away on November 26, 2013 from cancer at his home in Olympia, Washington. Glen was born December 21, 1933 to Frank S. and Hazel E. (Johnson) Carson in Aberdeen, Washington. He grew up in Aberdeen and graduated from Weatherwax High School. Glen served with the U.S. Navy from 1951 to 1954. He moved to White City, Oregon from 1984 to 2002, returning to Olympia at that time. He was preceded in death by his ex-wives, Barbara Ramsay and Leslie Ann Swanson. He has been with his female domestic partner, Jerry Colley, for the last 13 years. Glen had worked in the logging industry, and was a service station owner and truck driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was a lifetime member of the Aberdeen Veterans of Foreign Wars. He will be remembered by his family for his caring and wonderful sense of humor. Surviving are domestic partner, Jerry L. Cooley; his sons, Glen Carson Jr., and Benjamin H Carson; daughters, Joann Steedman, Megan Stevens and Rachel Gruber; brothers, Eugene Carson and Franklin Carson; sisters, Delores Black, LaVerla Butterfield, and Linda Skinner; eight grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
