Obituary of Joel Steven Hasch

Joel Steven Hasch, 70, a longtime resident of McCleary, Washington, died in the Beehive Retirement Community in McCleary on April 26, 2024, following an extended illness.

He was born September 28, 1953, to Hans and Pearl “Norrine” Hasch in Elma. He graduated from Elma High School before joining the United States Army at 19, serving his country from 1973 to 1977. He returned to his hometown, where he married and had four children.

Joel is survived by his wife, Anna Hasch, of McCleary; three daughters, Patricia Benfield of Blackfoot, Idaho, Joanna Garrett of Lawton, Oklahoma, and Katrina Hasch of Blackfoot; one son, Steven Hasch of Citrus Heights, California; two sisters, Susan Muzsek of Olympia, and Roseanna Lammers of Elma, Wasington; one brother, Douglas Krikava of Olympia; and eight grandchildren.

Services have been held.
