Obituary of Sandy Petrich

Sandy Petrich

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, and Daughter

With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Sandy Petrich, a remarkably beautiful woman whose presence illuminated the lives of all who knew her. Sandy passed away on April 1, 2024, leaving behind cherished memories and an enduring legacy.

Sandy was born on April 26, 1958, to her loving parents, Jack Cline and Dortha Lensegrav. From an early age, she exhibited a zest for life and a compassionate spirit. As a devoted wife to Jerry Petrich for over 35 years, Sandy embodied the true essence of partnership, love, loyalty, and strength, creating a home filled with warmth and laughter.

As a mother, Sandy's nurturing presence was a source of comfort and guidance to her children, Shana, Steven, Shalene, and Samantha. She approached parenthood with boundless patience, unconditional love, and a commitment to instilling values of kindness, resilience, loyalty, and strength in her children. Sandy's dedication to her family was unwavering, and her love knew no bounds.

In her role as grandmother, Sandy found immense joy and fulfillment in the precious moments spent with her 10 grandchildren. Whether playing in the front yard, attending sporting events, cruising for ice cream, or simply enjoying the sound of their laughter, Sandy cherished every opportunity to create lasting memories with her beloved grandchildren.

Sandy's love for the beach was a defining aspect of her life. She found solace in the rhythm of the waves, the warmth of the sun, and the serenity of nature's embrace. Her affinity for the beach was matched only by her passion for her cherished 1957 Ford Fairlane 500, a vehicle that symbolized freedom, adventure, loyalty, strength, and countless unforgettable journeys. Sandy loved cruising around town searching for sunsets with Jerry, her designated chauffeur.

Throughout her life, Sandy touched the hearts of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, loyalty, strength, and genuine compassion. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Sandy recently retired after serving the community for over 30 years. Sandy started her commitment to the community by driving school bus for the Chehalis School District for over 10 years. Sandy continued her dedication by opening and operating her own business, Fast Trax Mobile Catering for almost 20 years. Fast Trax combined Sandy’s passion for cooking and community, while also giving her career more freedom, independence, and flexibility. Most recently in retirement, she embraced her passion for traveling and adventure, visiting several countries, including Ireland, Norway, Iceland, and England. She was most proud of her Viking roots and being able to see in person where her ancestors originated.

In honoring Sandy's memory, let us take a moment of silence to reflect on the joy she brought into our lives and the profound impact she had on each of us. May her spirit forever remain a guiding light in our lives. Sandy Petrich will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
