Obituary of Barbara Ann Barclift

Barbara Ann “Barbie” Barclift passed away of cancer on February 25, 2024, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born July 24, 1955, to Oscar Jack Barclift and Patricia Esther (Browne) Barclift in Olympia.

 

Barbie graduated from Tumwater High School in 1973 and earned an AA degree from Centralia Community Collete in 1975 and BA from Washington State University.

 

She was free-spirited and strong-willed.  She loved to travel, play bingo, and spend time with her children and grandchildren.  They were the light of her life. She was a homemaker and member of Hoquiam Assembly of God.

 

Barbie is survived by her lifelong friend, Richard Hamilton; stepsons, Anthony Hamilton (Beth) of Elma, Washington, and David Hamilton of Centralia, Washington; daughters, Mary Isom (Justin) of Napavine, Washington, Amy Barclift of Centralia, and Kim Bankston of Olympia; stepdaughter, Rhoda Mendoza of Chehalis, Washington; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Janet Bryant (Roger) of Olympia.

 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, 1:00 p.m. at Forest Grange, 3397 Jackson Way, Chehalis, WA 98532.
