Obituary of Sherry Alice Duerr

Sherry Alice Duerr passed away January 29, 2024, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born May 5, 1947, to Andrew Jackson McCleary and Ruby Irene Brown McCleary in West Plains, Missouri. Over the years, she also resided in Medford, Oregon; Seattle, Washington; and Yelm, Washington.

 

Sherry worked in insurance (1981-1995) and was a Walmart Houseware Assistant (2004-2015).  She was strong-willed, focused, passionate, compassionate, and very independent. She loved being with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed camping, fishing, and reading a good book.

 

Sherry is survived by her son, Tommy Duerr of Olympia; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Tom McCleary, Mark McCleary and Rex McCleary; and sisters, Patricia Rahn and Cherry Ann Flowers.  She was predeceased by her parents; brothers, Dale McCleary and Jay McCleary; and sister, Jackie Schole.
