Obituary of Lydia Dohring

Lydia Schuerer Dohring, 92, passed away January 18, 2024, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born April 14, 1931, in Germany. She married Dan Dohring in 1948; they lived in the Boston Harbor area of Olympia, enjoying 75 years together.

 

Lydia worked for Olympia Cleaners as a seamstress and clothes presser.  She loved knitting, crocheting, baking, gardening, square dancing, and round dancing. She attended a weekly Bible study, Empty Nesters Sunday School class, and sang in the choir ata Westwood Baptist Church.

 

Lydia is survived by her sons, Walter and Harold; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.  Her siblings still live in Germany. Lydia was preceded in death by her husband, Dan; and daughter, Rosemarie.

 

TIME CHANGE:  A Celebration of Life service and reception will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, 333 Kaiser Road NW, Olympia, WA 98502.  A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Masonic Memorial Park, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
