Obituary of Ian B. McNeil

Ian B. McNeil passed away December 24, 2023, after a heart attack, in Yelm, Washington.  He was born November 14, 1974, to Janita Eichenberger and Daniel McNeil Sr. in King County, Washington.

 

An eight-year resident of Yelm, Ian grew up in Lacey, Washington, where he graduated with the Timberline High School Class of ’94.  He married Telisha K. Ellis on May 6, 2017, in Olympia, Washington.

 

Ian would always laugh and had a smile that was contagious.  He loved tinkering with lights and had innovative ideas.  He loved football, especially the Seahawks; he was an avid fan.  He also loved tattoos, spending time with family, and camping at Mt. Rainier, which he considered his “happy place.” He loved just listening to music and enjoying his surroundings.

 

Ian is survived by his wife, Telisha K. McNeil; sons, Trevor McNeil and Tyler Johnson; daughters, Shayna S. McNeil and Hannah Johnson; parents, Janita and John Eichenberger; brother, Daniel McNeil Jr.; and sister, Candy Oliver. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel McNeil Sr.; and daughter, ShyAnn S. McNeil.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024, 1:00-4:00 p.m. at South Sound Manor, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
