Obituary of Samuel V. Williams
Samuel V. Williams passed away December 20, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. He was born July 6, 1940, to Naaman Harrison and Ruth Williams in Tenino, Washington, and grew up in the Centralia area. A 14-year resident of Elma, Washington, he also resided in California and Tennessee.
Samuel graduated from the Centralia School District and was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served from 1962 to 1964. He received an honorable discharge to raise his daughter as a single parent.
He was funny and loved to make people laugh. He befriended everyone and loved spending time with friends and family, of whom he was proud and loved immensely. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and painting.
A man of many talents, Samuel owned Bud’s Bulldozing for many years and became Handy Man Sam after retirement.
He will be missed by many. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Kenneth Todd) of Olympia; grandchildren, Donovan (Jennifer) Baldwin and Megan (Chris) Molineux; and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; sisters, Margie and Elizabeth; and brother, Marshall Sr.
