Obituary of Lisa Sue LaLonde

Lisa Sue LaLonde passed away of natural causes on December 11, 2023, in Olympia, Washington, her home of five years. She was born February 3, 1969, to Joseph L. and Blanche M. LaLonde in Watertown, New York. She grew up in Philadelphia, New York, where she graduated from Philadelphia Elementary School and Indian River Middle School.

Lisa was a survivor of brain cancer from the age of three. Her disease left her with many struggles and disabilities. She was a fighter and lived many years beyond expectation. Her faith in Jesus and her desire to be independent and live a normal life helped her in living the best life she could.

Lisa was kind and generous with a Big Heart. She liked crafts, music, movie trivia, and making homemade chocolate candy. She worked as a housekeeper and janitor and was a member of Watertown’s New Hope Baptist Church (1995-2013) and Philadelphia’s Indian River Baptist Church (1976-1995).

She is survived by sisters, JoAnne LaLonde and Deborah Klock; and brothers, LeRoy Carpenter, Mike LaLonde, and Joseph LaLonde III. She was predeceased by her parents, Blanche LaLonde and Joseph LaLonde Jr.; and brother, Bernard LaLonde.
