Obituary of Steven Michael Felkner

Steven Michael Felkner passed away October 10, 2023, in Seattle, Washington.  He was born February 9, 1987, to Michelle Latta and Daniel Felkner in South Bend, Washington.  Over the years, he lived in the Washington cities of Raymond (1987-1990), Lacey (1990-2005), and Lakewood (2005-2023). 

 

Steven graduated from North Thurston High School in 2005 and attended Pierce College in Lakewood (2010-2012) and University of Washington in Seattle (2012-2014).  Career wise he worked for Pierce College off and on from 2010 to 2023 in the tutoring center as a tutor and mentor to students.  After college, he was a professional tutor and then a program specialist in the Financial Aid Department at the College. 

 

Steven was an avid reader and loved playing online and boardgames with friends. He especially loved playing tabletop role-playing games, the more sinister the better; Dungeons and Dragons was his favorite.  He also loved to give gifts just to make people smile—little trinkets and toys, the sillier the better.   

 

He is survived by his sister, Alicia Willsey; brother, David Felkner; mother and stepfather, Michelle and Greg Latta; nephew, Daniel Felkner; and niece, Rachel Willsey. 

 

A graveside service will be held Saturday, November 18, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Masonic Memorial Park, 455 North St. SE, Tumwater, WA 98501.
