Obituary of Eric Edward Ervine

Eric Edward Ervine passed away October 29, 2023, in Olympia, Washington, after a courageous battle with a rare connective tissue cancer.  He was born February 24, 1966, to James and Margie Ervine in Mount Vernon, Washington. He graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1984 and went on to pursue a degree in radio broadcasting. 

 

Eric married the love of his life, Heather Anne Robinson, on July 31, 1993, in Tenino, Washington. Eric had pursued a career in radio before getting a job at International Paper where he worked for over 25 years. He will be fondly remembered for his magnetic personality, unwavering love, and his passion for space. He was an incredible man, did everything for his family and his love, and was a stout believer in Jesus Christ.

 

He is survived by his wife, Heather Ervine; daughter, Emii Ervine-O’Sullivan, age 26, (Keegan O’Sullivan), granddaughter, Ellodie O’Sullivan, and baby number two due in April 2024; daughter, Makaylee Ervine-Parker, age 24, (Jay Parker); son, Payton Ervine, age 23.  He is also survived by sisters, Heather Clark (Tim Clark) and Gretchen Cortez (Adolfo Cortez); numerous uncles, aunts, nephews and nieces.  He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Margie Ervine in 2022. 

 

Services will be held Friday, November 10, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Olympia Christian Reformed Church, 2121 Log Cabin Rd. SE, Olympia, WA 98501.  Eric loved sports.  Please feel free to wear your favorite sports jersey or gear to celebrate him.  A light lunch will be served.
