Obituary of Sharon Lois Jamison

Sharon Lois Jamison passed away September 25, 2023, in Tumwater, Washington, her home of 57 years.  She was born March 15, 1942, to Clarence E. “Mac” and Lois P. McCann in Alton, Illinois. She also resided a short time in Seattle (1962-1964).

 

Sharon graduated from North Thurston High School in 1961 and attended Mr. Roberts Beauty School.  Professionally, she was a beautician and a Realtor from 1988 to 1999 with Boone & Boone Realty, The Prudential Premier Properties One, and Black River Real Estate. In 1992, she received a special achievement award from the Olympia Thurston County Association of Realtors.

 

Sharon married Robert David Jamison on December 15, 1962, in Lacey, Washington. She loved sewing, crocheting, oil painting, jewelry making, and bowling. 

 

She was a member of the Tumwater Allied Arts (1977 Vice President, 1978 President); Olympia Art League; Olympia Thurston County Association of Realtors (1992 local Director, 1995 Vice President, 1996 President); American Business Women’s Association; and a league bowler at The Bowl.  In 1982, she was the Regional Grand Counselor of the Order of the United Commercial Travelers of America; her jurisdiction was Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia (also former President of the local auxiliary).

 

Sharon is survived by her husband, Bob Jamison; and daughter, Diana McCutcheon.  She was predeceased by her parents; and brother, Steven L. McCann.

 

Services will be held Friday, October 13, 2023, 1:00 p.m. at Littlerock Community Fellowship, 11510 Littlerock Road SW, Olympia, WA 98512.
