Obituary of James Murray Brown
James Muray Brown passed away of dementia on September 13, 2023, in Olympia, Washington. He was born September 24, 1942, to George Alex Brown and Opal Mae (Gallup) Brown in Woodville, Ohio.
James earned a bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College; married Linda Kay Sheatzley on March 29, 1974, in Canton, Ohio; and was a retired U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran with 20 years of service (1961-1981). Professionally, he was a Security Guard at Satsop Nuclear Power Plant (1981-1983) and Supervisor at Olympia U.S. Post Office (1983-2000).
He loved golf, riding his Harley (when younger), and going to lunch with his friends. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the local Shriners Lodge (past president), both of which he loved being involved with.
James is survived by his wife, Linda Kay Brown; daughter, Tara Marie Jackson; sons; James Daniel Brown and Robert Brown; grandsons, Wyatt Jackson and Sam Brown; granddaughters, Megan Brown, Annika Brown, and Natalie Brown; great-grandson, Noah Brown; and sisters, Becky and Jane. He was predeceased by his parents; and brother, Roger Brown.
