Obituary of Virginia Woods

Virginia Woods passed away September 16, 2023, in Olympia, Washington.  She was born October 7, 1944, to William V. Hogan and Virginia Bertha (Wiles) Hogan in Olympia.  Virginia also resided in Aberdeen and Tacoma, Washington.

 

Virginia married the love of her life, Donald Woods, on June 6, 1964, in Tacoma.  She loved being a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and caregiver.  She loved her children with all her heart.  She attended the Catholic Church and was a member of the VFW Auxillary.

 

She is survived by her sons, Donald Woods Jr. and Marquis Woods (Colville, Washington); daughters, Theresa Garrett (Rockport, Indiana), Patricia Borgstrom and husband, Brad (Puyallup, Washington), Kristinia McWilliams (Tacoma), and April Franklin (Tacoma); 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and brother, Michael Riddle.  She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Woods Sr.; son, William “Billy” Woods; mother, Virginia Gallagher; sister, Mary Lou Maddox; and grandsons, Luke Chase, William “Lil William” Woods, and Anthony Miles.

 

Virginia will be laid to rest with her husband at Tahoma National Cemetery. Details pending.
